Welcome to the American School of Martial Arts-Wake Forest Kung Fu website. An exciting world of Martial Arts as taught by Grandmaster Don Baird awaits.

Grandmaster Baird teaches traditional Martial Arts. He was a guest instructor for the California Association of Force Instructors in 2010. He was also a former technical advisor for the Burbank Police Department.

Our system, now known as "Suh Do Kwan", was first Established in the US in 1964, in Burbank CA, under our Founder Grandmaster Suh, Young-ik. The Burbank location is the oldest and most documented school of Martial Arts with a local history of over 50 years. Grandmaster Baird opened a second location in Palmdale CA that's been opened for over 20 years. Both schools are continuing to make wonderful contributions to their respective communities. In 2021 Grandmaster Baird and his wife Grandmaster Maria moved to North Carolina to further expand the system.

At Wake Forest Kung Fu, Grandmaster Baird continues to provide friendly, family style atmospheres, and offers classes for children and adults. We look forward to getting you started on your Martial Arts path.
